OK, here's what I think about this whole new blogging thing. When I post here, I am not, indeed, posting on a personal blog site. There's a disclaimer on the main page:

At the CWRL, we provide personal blogs to associated faculty, staff, and graduate students. These blogs are provided with no restrictions beyond UT guidelines. These blogs represent the views of their authors, not necessarily the CWRL or affiliated units.

However, if you click "read more" on a post, even that disclaimer disappears and, quite abruptly, you are dumped back into the CWRL's sidebar of Categories, Guides and Publications. This ties the blog much more thoroughly into the CWRL than the previous, MT version of blogging, which was tied in only by its address.
